We were driving from Bangalore to Calicut via Mysore, Gundlupet, Bandhipur and Wayanad. Just as we neared the end of the Bandhipur forest stretch, we spotted this group of around 15 monkeys by the roadside and slowed down. While the others were quite busy and inquisitive, this mom and suckling child stayed a bit away and looked at us pensively. What fascinated me most were the eyes of the baby.
